MPG Tango Retreat @ Marysville 2012

Welcome to our first extended weekend event. We chose these dates with keeping in mind that this is a busy time of the year for many tango related functions and tried to work within the boundaries.

Nestled in the foothills of Melbourne’s closest alpine resort are the quaint villages of Marysville, Buxton, Taggerty and Narbethong. Located only a 90 minute drive from Melbourne, Marysville and surrounds is an ideal destination for adventure, food, wine and getting back to nature.

As well as that this is the week that is in midst of the popular Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival, so it offers the opportunity, especially for those coming from interstate to enjoy a day at the races – say Ladies Oaks Day on Thursday, Tango Bien Milonga on Thursday evening and than travelling up to Marysville for a weekend full of tango on Friday.

As described in our last post Marysville was chosen as THE Place not only because of the natural beauty of the area, but also because of the trauma the whole area suffered in the horrific bush fires in 2009.

We have been thrilled to secure two venues for our event – Marysville Patisserie and Crossways

…..and so it went on. Our event has now passed and we believe it was success. We have uploaded some pictures from this fabulous weekend, so why don’t you have a look , just click the “under tab” on this pages menu bar
